Shiv Tanraj is a versatile vocalist of Hindustani Vocal Music. He is the son and disciple of Pt. Jiv Nath Jha Tanraj, a music composer, singer and foremost disciple of Pt. Omkar Nath Thakur. Shiv Tanraj was born and raised in a cultural family with musical background lasting from years.

He was deeply influenced when he heard different compositions of Raga Malkaus, Raga Kafi and Raga Chandrakauns of his father which encouraged him to become a vocalist. With an experience of more than 50 years, he has stood evident in giving the world a lot of quality musicians.
